Caktus Closes $200K Seed Funding

caktusCaktus, a New Jersey-based provider of a platform to help people achieve physical and mental wellbeing through proper and timely hydration, closed a $200K seed funding.

The round was led by Kima Ventures, with participation from angel investors from the U.S., such as TechLaunch‘s founder, Mario Casabona.

The company intends to use the funds to finalize the prototypes and make the solution available to consumers (They plan to launch a crowd funding campaign this Spring to pre-order their The Hug)

Founded in 2013 by CEO Panu Keski-Pukkila, Caktus is developing The Hug, a product for hydration tracking, which consists of a sensor band connected to a companion mobile application.
Caktus has graduated from the premier NJ based startup accelerator.
