Bluefly Receives Investment from CrunchFund

blueflyBluefly, a NYC-based eCommerce retailer of designer, contemporary and private label apparel and accessories, received an investment from CrunchFund.

The amount of the transaction was not disclosed. CrunchFund joined Clearlake Capital Group, which has invested in the company in May 2013. In conjunction with the funding, CrunchFund Co-founder Pat Gallagher joined Bluefly’s Board. In addition, eCommerce industry veteran Jeffrey Sherman joined as senior advisor to the Board.

Founded in 1998 and led by Neel Grover, CEO, Bluefly is an online retailer of designer, contemporary, and private label apparel and accessories that provides its customers with access to in-season products at discounted prices. The company sells its merchandise through two off-price eCommerce channels:
- Bluefly.com (Traditional eCommerce Channel) and
- Belle & Clive (Flash-Sale Site).
