Zephyr Health Raises $15M in Funding

zephirhealthZephyr Health, a San Francisco, CA-based big data analytics platform for companies in the life sciences industry, raised $15m in funding.

The round was co-led by Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers and Jafco Ventures. In conjunction with the funding, Brook Byers, general partner at Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers (KPCB), and Joe Horowitz, managing general partner at Jafco Ventures, joined Zephyr’s Board of Directors.

Founded in 2011 by William King, CEO, Zephyr Health has developed a platform that leverages NoSQL data bases, machine-based algorithms, and visualization capacities to provide insights to business leaders and decision-makers in life sciences companies in order to improve R&D efforts and bring new treatments to the right physicians.
The platform is deployed across a wide spectrum of environments within the life sciences industry, including Clinical Operations, Medical Affairs, Sales & Marketing and Payers.
