Elastifile Raises $8M in Series A Funding

Elastifile, a Herzliya, Israel-based developer of storage technology, raised $8m in Series A funding.

Backers included Battery Ventures and Lightspeed Venture Partners. In conjunction with the funding, Battery general partner Itzik Parnafes and Lightspeed partner David Gussarsky joined Elastifile’s board.

Co-founded by CEO Amir Aharoni, CTO Shahar Frank, and VP of Research and Development Roni Luxenburg, Elastifile leverages flash-based storage media and 10GE networks to develop a converged storage solution for for virtualized data-centers and private clouds.
