digedu Closes $2.2M Funding

digedudigedu, a Chicago, IL-based digital education startup, closed a $2.2m round of funding.

The round was led by 7wire Ventures, a Chicago investment group.

The company intends to use the funds to further expand into public and private schools in major metropolitan areas.

Led by Matt Tullman, President, digedu combines intelligent technology and dynamic curriculum in a single format to allow teachers to design and deliver personalized, interactive, and measurable learning experiences for students, who can engage with teachers, peers and learning materials at anytime and on any device including their mobile phones.

Following more than two years of research, development and pilot programs inside of elementary, middle and high schools in Chicago and Washington, D.C., the company began offering its platform in 2013. Schools in 12 states currently utilize digedu.
