CoFoundersLab Raises $680K in Funding

cofounderslabCoFoundersLab, a Rockville, MD-based free co-founder matching service, raised $680k in funding.

The amount was raised from accredited investors by generally soliciting via RockThePost under the new JOBS Act provisions.

Co-founded by Culin Tate and Shahab Kaviani, CoFoundersLab provides entrepreneurs with a platform to find a co-founder, an adviser or an intern to launch and grow businesses across any industry. It enables users to discover local entrepreneurs and professionals online and meet them in person at local matchmaking events (already in 30 cities across the nation).

The service has already helped 25,000 people so far, forming at least 500 companies.

The 6-people company recently launched an iOS app with an Android app in development.

Previous backers already included Fortify.vc and Piedmont.
