SensioLabs Closes $7M Financing

Logo_SensioLabsSensioLabs, a Paris, France-based creator of the Symfony PHP framework, closed a $7m financing round.

The round was led by CM-CIC Private Capital.

The company intends to use the funds to accelerate its international growth and continue its PHP language tool development.

Founded in 2012 by Fabien Potencier and Gregory Pascal, SensioLabs provides Symfony, a development framework used by open-source projects (Drupal, phpBB, eZ, Publish, etc.) and thousands of companies (Dailymotion, Yahoo!, Blablacar, etc.) worldwide. It is currently adopted by a community of over 100,000 developers.
Beyond offering service and support, SensioLabs conceives products destined for companies and developers to improve quality, deployment and management of their PHP applications.
The first solution, SensioLabsInsight, measures code quality in PHP applications and is available in beta version since October 2013.

The company, which has six offices throughout France, Germany and the United Kingdom and more than 80 collaborators, has earned 7m Euros in 2013 and plans to hire 100 people between now and 2015.
