R/GA Connected Devices Accelerator Program Announces Startups

rgaDigital agency R/GA announced the ten companies selected to participate in the R/GA Connected Devices Accelerator program

Powered by Techstars. the program focuses on “Internet of Things” startups that are developing connected mobile apps, hardware, products, and services.

Selected companies are:
Enertiv, a developer of building energy management platform with real time data.
Footmarks, a developer of sensors for traditional retailers to detect and engage consumers.
Grove, which aims to power the urban farming revolution.
Hammerhead Navigation, a navigation display for bicyclists with integrated social community.
Keen Home, a developer of intelligent devices for home, starting with a connected air vent.
KyteLabs, a consumer product that aims to bring connectivity to everyday transactions.
Owlet Baby Care, a baby health monitor that tracks what really matters.
ringblingz, a social notification platform that keeps users connected.
QoL, a device to improve respiratory health and fitness.
Qualia Health, a platform to measure changes in overall health through data science.

During the program, the companies will leverage R/GA’s expertise in business and brand consulting, product and services innovation, and marketing and communications, as well as access to mentors from its global network of clients.
At the end, all 10 companies will present to investors, media, select R/GA clients, and industry leaders at an invite-only launch event in Austin, TX during the 2014 SXSWi festival and then during a private Demo Day in NYC.

Each accepted team is eligible to receive up to $120,000 in funding from R/GA and Techstars.
