Windsor Circle Completes $950K Series A-1 Funding

windsor_circle_logoWindsor Circle, a Durham, NC-based provider of Retention Automation software and services for retail and eCommerce firms, completed a $950k Series A-1 funding round.

Backers included Triangle Angel Partners (TAP), Idea Fund Partners, and Bruce Boehm, formerly of US Venture Partners.

The company, which has now raised over $2.4m in total, intends to use the funds to move into a new office in the American Underground Main St campus in January, 2014, hire 7+ people (marketing coordinators, salespeople, client success associate, product manager, front-end web developer, and software developer), and accelerate of marketing, client acquisition and development efforts.

Led by CEO Matt Williamson, VP of Marketing and investor Andrew Pearson, Windsor Circle provides a Retention Marketing Platform that aims to help online retailers connect their eCommerce platforms, email marketing software, and other data sources, analyze their customer purchase history and behavior, and automate customer loyalty, product recommendation and other segmented email campaigns using the email marketing software they already use.
Clients include Karmaloop, SurfStitch, Case-Mate, and Spangler Candy (maker of Dum Dums).
