Tinybop Inc., a Brooklyn, NY-based maker of educational apps for kids, raised $6m in funding.
According to a filing with the S.E.C., twelve unnamed backers participated in the raise.
Led by Raul Gutierrez, Founder and CEO, Youngna Park, Head of Product, and Robert Blackwood, Lead iOS Developer, Tinybop leverages designers, developers, and artists to build a suite of educational iOS apps for kids, which encourage exploration and creativity.
Their first iOS app, The Human Body allows kids ages 4+ can see what people are made of and how they work. It costs $2.99.
