TextPride, a mobile branded content startup, completed a $1M seed funding round.
Backers were not disclosed. It is known that the deal includes $20k from Miller Lite’s “Tap the Future” business competition.
Co-founded in 2012 by Sean O’Brien and Evan Wray, TextPride provides messaging apps with access to licensed content from sports and entertainment brands.
The branded content includes emojis and stickers from more than 200 licensing agreements from sports and entertainment brands, including the Chicago Blackhawks, the University of Notre Dame, Jimmy Johnson, Miramax Studios and Warner Music Studios.
The company intends to use the capital to expand its current licensing portfolio with new brands across the world.
