Ranku Receives Investment from Microsoft Ventures

rankuRanku, a NYC-based discovery engine for students and adults to find reputable online colleges, received an investment from Microsoft Ventures.

The amount of the transaction was not disclosed.

The company intends to use the funds to expand operations.

Co-founded by Kim Taylor and Cecilia Retelle, Ranku provides students with tools to make informed decisions, compare costs and find a degree that suits their needs. It focuses on public, private, and state schools that provide online opportunities, including Georgetown, University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill, and Arizona State University.
The company, which graduated from TechStars, is also backed by Mark Cuban.
