MdotLabs Closes $1.25M First Funding

mdotlabsMdotLabs, a Madison, WI-based SaaS security platform company for advertisers to avoid invalid traffic, closed a $1.25m first funding.

The round was led by Chicago Ventures and NYC-based Great Oaks Venture Capital with participation from angel investors Ray Zemon (founder of Amazon property ShopBop.com).

The company will use the funds to grow our data scientist and software development teams.

Co-founded by CEO Timur Yarnall and Chief Scientist Paul Barford, MdotLabs provides a SaaS security platform to fight invalid activity in web and mobile advertising. The MdotLabs’ AdSecure™ Platform is used by hundreds of publishers and brands to identify and eliminate invalid traffic coming from botnets and click-farms that waste billions in ad campaign spend each year.
The company has offices in San Francisco.
