Jongla Raises €1.4M in Funding

jonglaJongla, a Finnish provider of messaging app, raised €1.4m in funding.

Backers include Oy Ingman Finance Ab and angel investors Mikko Rinta-Jouppi, Matti Kallio, Bengt Westerholm, founder Arto Boman, as well as majority shareholders Juha Halttunen (Chairman) and Henry Sjöman (Member of the Board).

The company, which has now raised €3.9m in total funding, intends to use the capital for product development and international expansion.

Founded in 2009 by Boman and led by Riku Salminen, CEO, Jongla provides a free instant messaging app aimed at the youth market, which allows users to personalize the experience adding interactive stickers and animations to messages. It is available to download for free from the App Store, Google Play and Windows Phone Store.
