The Hunt, a San Francisco, CA-based community-driven online shopping platform that makes photos shoppable, closed a $5.5m Series A funding.
The round was led by Javelin Venture Partners. Investors inc the company also include Tyra Banks, Ashton Kutcher and partner Guy Oseary, co-founders of AGR-ade Investments, Rohan Oza, Keli Lee, and Anjula Acharia-Bath, CEO of A-Series Entertainment, among others (red our earlier news here).
The company intends to use the funds to continue hiring engineers and product designers, among other investments.
Co-founded by tech entrepreneurs CEO Tim Weingarten and Simon Peck, The Hunt operates a community-driven online shopping platform that allows members to shop for the things they see in photos and on sites like Pinterest, Facebook, Instagram and Tumblr.
The app is designed for iOS7 and available to download for free from the App Store on iPhone at iphone.
