Hightail (formerly YouSendIt), a Campbell, CA-based file-sharing service, secured $34m in Series E funding.
The round was led by Western Digital Capital, with participation from new investor Accolade Partners and existing backers Alloy Ventures, Sevin Rosen, Emergence Capital, Adams Street Partners and Sigma Partners.
The company, which has now received a total of $83m in funding, intends to use the funds for international expansion and broader strategic investment opportunities.
Founded in 2004 and led by Brad Garlinghouse, CEO, Hightail provides more than 40 million global professionals with a solution to share and control files from website, desktop and mobile apps. It allows users to control, track and find and manage, their content regardless of the cloud service and device being utilized.
The company recently acquired adeptCloud, a file sharing and collaboration company focused on security, control and privacy.
