Yahoo! (NASDAQ: YHOO) has acquired Bread, a San Francisco, CA-based provider of a digital platform that delivers advertising across social media, desktop, and mobile devices.
The amount of the transaction was not disclosed.
The team of Bread – Led by CEO Alan Chan – will join Yahoo’s advertising team in Sunnyvale where they will be working on developing new solutions for social and mobile publishers and advertisers.
The service, which serves rich media ads on links shared on Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr and other social media platforms, will be closed on November 11.
Bread has partnered with Lady Gaga and major brands like Pepsi, Sony Pictures and Carl’s Jr.
