Tiendeo Raises €505K in Funding

Tiendeo, a Barcelona, Spain-based aggregator of digital catalogs and brochures of product offers from top retailers and manufacturers, raised €505k ($700k) in funding.

Backers in the round included Jesús Monleón, co-founder and CEO of Offerum.com; Mario Brueggemann, founder of Acierto.com; Axel Serena, founder of Vittalia Internet; Javier Martín; as well as existing investors François Derbaix, founder of Toprural.com; Iñaki Berenguer, founder of Pixable.com and Luis Martín Cabiedes.

The company, which has now raised more than €1,1m ($1.5m) intends to use the funds to expand in Europe and South & Central America.

Founded in January 2011 by CEO Eva Martín, Maria Martín and Jonathan Lemberger, Tiendeo aggregates the digital catalogs and brochures of retailers and manufacturers to help consumers find the best local offers. It delivers the offers via a website, a mobile app and an alert system that enable users to discover all the brochures and catalogs published (and offers available) in their area.  More that 7.5 million catalogs are consulted on the site each month with the platform now present in the UK, Italy, Spain, Mexico, Brasil and Colombia.
