iScreen Vision Raises $4.0M in Series B Funding

iScreen Vision, Inc., a Memphis, Tennessee-based provider of pediatric vision screening equipment and services, raised $4.0m in Series B funding.

The round, which was led by MB Venture Partners, raised $2.5m in new money and converted $1.5m of debt into Series B shares. Investors also included Innova, who led the company’s Series A round and other new and existing private investors. In conjunction with the funding, Gary Stevenson, co-founder and managing partner of MB Venture Partners, joined iScreen Vision’s Board of Directors.

The company intends to use the funds to expand its sales domestically, to launch international sales efforts, to ramp up production and to increase research and development.

Led by Buck Brown, CEO, iScreen Vision has developed digital photoscreening technology, which includes cloud-based transmission, analysis and storage of images for integration with physician Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems. It allows physicians and other medical professionals to screen for vision problems, including risk factors for amblyopia, in children as young as 1.
