Flint Mobile Secures $6M in Series B Funding

Flint Mobile, a Redwood City, California-based platform for swipe-free payments and integrated marketing for mobile businesses, secured $6m in Series B funding.

The round was led by Digicel, with participation from SVG Ventures and existing investors True Ventures and Storm Ventures.

The company intends to use the new funds to expand its team and increase customer acquisition.

Founded in 2011 by CEO Greg Goldfarb, Flint has developed patented technology that allows mobile small businesses to accept credit and debit card payments and generate repeat and referral business.  It uses the phone’s built-in camera to scan card numbers, with no additional hardware required.
