CartiHeal Receives $5M in Funding

CartiHeal (2009) Ltd., a Tel Aviv, Israel-based medical device company, received an additional $5m funding.

Backers included existing investors Elron, Accelmed and Access Medical Ventures.

The company intends to use the funds to expand ongoing post-marketing clinical studies of its signature product Agili-C™ in Europe.

Led by Nir Altschuler, founder and CEO, CartiHeal is a medical device developer of cell-free cartilage regeneration technology Its flagship Agili-C™ implant has shown to promote regeneration of true hyaline cartilage and its subchondral bone, simultaneously, without the use of cells, growth factors or other exogenous agents.
