BloomNation Raises $1.65M in Funding

BloomNation, a Los Angeles, CA-based online consumer marketplace with more than 2,000 artisan florists across the country, raised $1.65m in funding.

Backers included venture capital firms Andreessen Horowitz, Spark Capital, Chicago Ventures, CrunchFund and MuckerLab.

The company intends to use the funds to grow the marketplace.

Led by Farbod Shoraka, CEO and Co-Founder, BloomNation has just launched a new Florist Business Center to provide local florists with tools to gain new customers and grow their businesses.
The center includes a feature called BloomSnap, which allows florists to instantly share photos of their customer’s actual arrangement before it is delivered. In addition, it lets florists set up a free online store with a point-of-sale system. It includes customer management tools, sales analytics, marketing and social media campaign management, a website builder, as well as tools to process credit card transactions.
Consumers can order arrangements, sourced locally in more than 3,000 cities across the U.S.

BloomNation is a graduate of LA-based accelerator MuckerLab.
