Moxtra Raises $10M in First Funding Round

Moxtra, a Cupertino, CA-based provider of a mobile content collaboration platform, completed a $10m first round of funding.

The round was led by Cisco and KDDI (from Japan) with participation from Innovation Works (China) and the personal investment arm of Barry Sternlicht.

The company intends to use the funds to accelerate platform development and expand its marketing efforts.

Iyar, co-founder and CEO, Moxtra provides a cloud-based service that enables consumers to interact across multiple devices (mobile phone, tablet, laptop) without losing the continuity of interactions. Moxtra is available for free from the App Store for iPad and iPhone (iOS 7) and is also available in beta for Android from the Google Play Store.
