CPUsage Closes $925K Venture Capital Funding

CPUsage, a Portland, Oregon-based provider of a computing platform, closed a $925k venture capital funding.

The round was led by Morado Venture Partners, with participation from Crosslink Capital, Demian Sellfors, Qbera Ventures, and Triplepoint Ventures.

The company intends to use the funds to continue to develop the platform.

Founded in 2011 by Matt Wallington and CEO Jeff Martens, CPUsage offers an a Platform-as-a-Service that allows software developers, scientists, and researchers from any size organization to consume massive amounts of compute power in the cloud for high-performance and high-throughput applications. CPUsage is launching with support for Amazon Web Services and will add support for additional cloud infrastructures, including the Google Compute Engine and Microsoft Windows Azure.
