ZOZI Acquires TripFlavor

ZOZI, a San Francisco, CA-based startup for active lifestyles, recently acquired TripFlavor, a provider of a real-time Software as a Service reservation system for tours and activities.

The amount of the transaction was not disclosed.

Launched in 2011 by CEO Sam Edelson and CTO Gene Drabkin, Tripflavor provides a reservation system serving a large number of activity merchants across many categories. The company raised a seed round of financing in late 2011 from angel investors and entrepreneurs including:
– Nathan Blecharczyk (co-founder & CTO of Airbnb);
– Mark Leslie (founder, chairman and CEO of Veritas Software); and
– Ken Keller (co-founder of IGN Entertainment).

Led by TJ Sassani, CEO, ZOZI connects people with local experiences, getaways, and adventures curated by a team of in-house experts. Experiences include – for example – kayaking, vineyard touring by bike, surfing, relaxing in a coastal villa, lifetime experiences with category leading celebrities in dozens of cities across the US and Canada.
The recently launched ZOZI Advance™ provides a real-time booking, scheduling, payments, and customer relationship management Saas platform for activity merchants.
The company also has offices in New York City and Vancouver, Canada.
