TrendKite, an Austin, Texas-based provider of marketing and media analytics, closed $1.2m in Series A funding.
The round was led by Silverton Partners, with participation from DreamIt Ventures, Raymond Walheim, Inovalon Founder, Rodrigo Carvalho, BlackLocus Founder/CEO, Joshua Baer, OtherInbox Founder, Sean Spector, GameFly Founder.
The company intends to use the funds to expand technical and sales teams at its Austin corporate headquarters.
The ability for companies to implement a combination of quantitative and qualitative analytics has been largely absent in the realm of media. TrendKite leverages predictive analytics to provide customers with recommendations for improving or adjusting marketing efforts to ensure better ROI.
Co-founded by Matthew Allison, CEO, Patrick Brannen, CTO, and AJ Bruno, President, TrendKite has developed a cloud-based platform for businesses and agencies to identify and leverage media predictive analytics with actionable insights. The dashboard and reporting service is now available to customers via a subscription pricing model following deployment in beta in Fortune 500 companies including Nikon and the OpenStack Foundation.
