Socialspiel, a Vienna, Austria-based social game development studio, raised €200k in funding.
The round was led by FLOOR13, with participation from games industry veterans Clemens Beer and new CEO Mike Borras, who will both join the company’s board. Co-founder and former CEO Helmut Hutterer will become COO.
The company intends to use the funds to to grow the development teams.
Founded in 2010, Socialspiel designs, develops and publishes mobile and browser games partnering with Rockstar Games, Facebook, Deutsche Telekom, Chupa Chups, Bartle Bogle Hegarty, Mail.RU, Koch Media, hi5, Sproing, VKontakte, and Deep Silver Games. The studio also publishes its own games.
