PicCollage Raises $2.3M in Seed Funding

PicCollage, San Francisco, Calif.-based developer of a mobile photo app, raised $2.3m in seed funding.

Backers included 500 Startups, Floodgate Fund, Freestyle Capital, Quest Venture Partners, Sand Hill Angels, XG Ventures, Neil Young and Bob Stevenson (founders of ngmoco and N3TWORK).

Led by Ching-Mei Chen, PicCollage provides a photo app which allows people to combine images, text and stickers as freeform collages and share with friends and followers. Available on iOS and Android, it has over 35m downloads and is particularly popular with young women from the US, UK, and Japan.
The company has also announced a branded content campaign with Interscope Records, which allows users to download customized sticker packs for featured Interscope artists, such as Robin Thicke.

PicCollage has a branch in Taipei, Taiwan.
