Goo Technologies, a Stockholm, Sweden-based provider of a platform for HTML5 high-end graphics for games and interactive visualizations on the web, secured an undisclosed amount of seed funding.
The round was led by MOOR, a Swedish super angel investor owned by Kaj Hed, chairman and 70% stakeholder in Rovio Entertainment.
The company intends to use the funds to accelerate expansion amid the market for WebGL powered HTML5.
Led by Marcus Krüger, Chairman, Goo Technologies provides a proprietary and WebGL rendering solution to distribute high-end hardware accelerated 2D and 3D graphics into the web browser or as HTML5 apps on mobile devices. The Goo Engine developers users to publish advanced games online like a web page and make them available on any device (computers, tablets, smartphones and smart TVs) regardless of physical location.
