Carnival Labs Raises $2.4M in Funding

Carnival Labs, a New York and Wellington, New Zealand-based provider of a platform for brands to create and publish content and campaigns across their mobile audience, raised $2.4m in funding.

The round was co-led by Lerer Ventures and Gary Vaynerchuk with participation from Flybridge Capital Partners, Bowery Capital, Google Ventures, David Tisch (BoxGroup), Jos White and Michael Lazerow.

The company intends to use the funds to scale its sales, account management, and engineering teams in New York City and New Zealand, and grow adoption of its platform.

Founded in 2008 by Chief Executive Officer Guy Horrocks and Cody Bunea, Carnival Labs provides a suite that enables brands to create and publish content and campaigns across their mobile audience as well as to increase the impact of those efforts. It allows them to focus on unifying their individual apps and creating targeted marketing campaigns that enhance user actions.
To date, Carnival Labs has worked with over 100 companies including OREO, Coca-Cola, Time Warner and DreamWorks Animation.
