CareInSync Receives Investment from Samsung Venture Investment Company

CareInSync, a Santa Clara, California-based provider of software solutions that are deisgned to improve communication between disparate healthcare providers, received an of undisclosed amount investment from Samsung Venture Investment Company.

Samsung Venture Investment Company joined existing investors HealthTech Capital, California Health Care Foundation, and Hearst Business Media.

The company will use the proceeds to enhance its evidence-based care coordination solution with secure mobile communications technology and expand its mobile offering to the Android platform.

Led by Siva Subramanian, PhD, COO and founder, and Steve Curd, president and CEO, CareInSync provides Carebook™, a HIPAA-compliant, mobile care coordination platform connecting physicians, case managers, nurses, and other aftercare professionals in real-time to deliver patient-centered collaborative care. The product creates dynamic care teams based on patient needs and tracks changes to the team across patient care transitions. An analytics dashboard provides real-time visibility into care process measures.
