Yelp Acquires SeatMe

Yelp (NYSE: YELP) acquired SeatMe, a provider of a web and app-based solution to enable online reservations for restaurants and nightlife locations.

According to reports, the deal amounted to $12.7m.

The acquisition follows Yelp’s recently announced Yelp Platform, which is currently launching with the ability to order food delivery or pick-up on Yelp business pages through partners Eat24 and delivery.com. The ability to make appointments at spas, salons and dentists is scheduled to follow via partnerships with Booker, Demandforce and MINDBODY.

Launched in San Francisco by Alexander Kvamme, CEO, and Jordan Mendelson, CTO, SeatMe provides a reservations and guest management system for restaurants to handle guest, floor, book and waitlist management. It also provides a variety of promotional tools.
