According to reports, Weathermob, a New York, NY-based crowdsourced weather app, raised a new funding round.
Backers included Mark Hastings, Lord Waheed Alli, Victoria Hackett and Drew Volpe. The company has now raised $1.1m in total.
Led by Julia LaStage, CEO and Founder, Weathermob is the world’s largest weather community with people from over 135 countries who are reporting through pictures, videos and skins about weather live. The app allows users to see personalized, hyper-local eight day forecast information, create weather channels that only cover the weather they care about based around any location, any mood, anyone or anything, follow people, places and trends and share broadcast via Facebook and Twitter.
