Sharp Business Systems, a global provider of document management solutions, acquired Copifax, a Burnley, UK-based provider of copying, scanning and photographic business equipment.
The amount of the transaction was not disclosed. Following the close of it, Copifax will continue to trade under its original name, as part of Sharp’s document management solution portfolio.
Established in 1979 and led by Stuart Sykes, Managing Director, Sharp Business Systems provides business equipment and document management solutions to customers with 1,500 installations throughout the North of England.
The acquisition of the Copifax business is part of its strategy to acquire targeted document management businesses throughout the European region and follows on from the acquisition of the IOT business in 2011.
