Rallyhood Raises $1.7M in Series A Financing

Rallyhood, an Austin, Texas-based community collaboration platform, raised an additional $1.7m tranche to close its $3.2m Series A financing.

Backers included Tom Meredith, former CFO of Dell, former CFO of Motorola, and current Chairman of Bazaarvoice.

The company intends to use the funds to grow users, expand partnerships with schools, scouts, healthcare providers and non-profits and to improve product usability.

Led by Patti Rogers, Founder and CEO, Rallyhood provides a web and mobile app that allows groups (such as smaller communities like schools, fitness groups, small businesses, hobby groups, committees, and more) and large and small organizations to centralize communication, coordination, and sharing in one place.
Major partnerships include Dell Children’s Medical Center, LiveStrong Foundation, Komen Austin, and Girl Scout councils around the country.
