Qwilt Raises $16M in Series C Funding

Qwilt, a Redwood City, Calif.-based provider of an online video platform, raised $16m in Series C funding.

The round was led by Bessemer Venture Partners, with participation from existing investors Accel Partners, Redpoint Ventures and Marker LLC.

The company intends to use the funds to expand its international sales and engineering teams.

Founded in 2010 by Alon Maor, CEO, Qwilt provides online video delivery and transparent caching solutions.
Its flagship product, the Qwilt QB-Series Video Fabric Controller, combines transparent caching, video delivery and analytics technologies to optimize delivery of streaming video content to relieve network traffic congestion for operators.
