Prestadero Raises $400k in First Funding

According to finovate.com (read here), Prestadero, a Mexico City-based peer-to-peer lending platform, raised 5m Mexican Pesos (approximately $400k) in its first funding.

The round was led by Venture Partners Mexico.

The company intends to use the capital to attract new borrowers and lenders and accelerate its growth.

Launched in 2011 by CEO Gerardo Obregon, Prestadero is a peer-to-peer lending platform focused on the Mexican market.
It leverages its proprietary management software to determine rates and originate loans. The company’s web interface allows lenders to view their entire portfolio in detail and borrowers to have control over their loan’s entire process.
