Pixate Raises $3.8M in Series A Funding

Pixate, a Palo Alto, CA-based platform that enables dynamic user interfaces for native mobile applications, raised $3.8m in Series A funding.

The round was led by Accel Partners.

The company intends to use the funds to hire new engineers to expand products and services, including support and development for Android.

Launched in January 2013 by Paul Colton, CEO, and Kevin Lindsey, Pixate provides the free Pixate Engine for iOS, a free dynamic user interface (UI) platform for native mobile apps that leverages native CSS and graphics engines to allow developers to stream front-end styling changes to an application without having to resubmit to an app store.
The company, a Y-Combinator backed startup, is also announcing the launch of Pixate Labs, which gives developers early access to forthcoming products.
