Maker’s Row, a Brooklyn, NY-based marketplace that connects American manufacturers with businesses, closed a $1m seed funding round.
The round was co-led by Comcast Ventures and Index Ventures with participation from angels including Joanne Wilson and Alexis Ohanian.
Launched in November 2012 by Matthew Burnett, CEO, Tanya Menendez, COO, and Scott Weiner, Maker’s Row provides businesses with opportunities to discover and communicate with domestic manufacturers. Currently, the marketplace works with manufacturers in the apparel and accessories space with plans to introduce new industries and expand their technology team.
