Engrade, a Santa Monica, Calif. -based edtech company, raised $5m in Series B funding.
The rounds was led by Javelin Venture Partners with participation from Samsung Venture Investment Corporation, Kapor Capital and Rethink Education.
The company intends to use to accelerate its nationwide expansion and product development.
Led by CEO Zach Posner, Engrade provides a cloud-based platform that enables districts to manage curriculum planning and evaluation, instruction, assessment, and school-home communications. It is currently used in more than 40,000 schools worldwide.
