London-based venture capital firm Dawn Capital raised £63M (approximately $100M) in the first close of its second fund.
Dawn Capital II Venture Capital Fund has received support from the European Investment Fund through the UK Future Technologies Fund, Capital for Enterprise through the new VC Catalyst Fund as well as private individuals. It remains open for a limited time to bring in a small number of further investors.
The fund will focus on Series A investments in UK and European companies working in the Cloud, Software, Consumer Internet & Platform Infrastructure and Financial Services Technology sectors.
It will be led by Adrian Beecroft, Chairman, Norman Fiore and Haakon Overli, General Partners.
