ByHours.com, a Barcelona, Spain-based platform that allows users to pay hotel rooms for the hours they spend, raised €600k in funding.
Backers in the company included Fons d’Enginyers and Caixa Capital Risc. Cabiedes and Partners had previously invested.
The company intends to use the funds to consolidate its market position in Spain and expand abroad.
Led by Christian Rodríguez, ByHours.com has developed an online platform that allows people to book and pay rooms for the hours they spend at the hotel. The company, which makes money by taking a fee on any transaction, targets the travel, healthcare, and leisure sectors.
It currently partners with the major hotel chains including ABBA, Husa, H10, AC, Tryp, Sercotel, and Odigeo.
