WorldStores, a UK-based online retailer of products for the home and garden, raised £10m in Series C funding.
The round was led by Serena Capital, with participation from existing investors Balderton Capital and Advent Venture Partners.
The company intends to use the capital to continue to grow its supplier network and its product range.
Led by Richard Tucker and Joe Murray, co-chief executives, WorldStores offers over 500,000 lines from 800 suppliers in the home and garden category via 60 niche web stores, as well as the main site www.worldstores.co.uk.
According to a written note, the company has delivered more than 400,000 items in the past 12 months and is targeting £75m of sales in 2013, all in the UK.
