Sunrise Raises $2.2M in Seed Funding

Sunrise, a New York-based free calendar app made for Google Calendar users, raised $2.2m in seed funding.

The round was led by Resolute.vc and NextView Ventures, with participation from Lerer Ventures, SV Angel, BoxGroup, 500 Startups, Terrapin Bale, Dave Morin, David King, Andrew Kortina, Adam Nash, Elliot Shmukler, Hunter Walk, Gustaf Alströmer, Loic Le Meur, Bill Lee and Adam Mosseri.

The company intends to use the capital to launch new features and products.

Founded by former Foursquare designers Pierre Valade and Jeremy Le Van, Sunrise is a service that combines Facebook, Google Calendar, LinkedIn and other platform into a daily email.
