Scratch Music Group Receives Growth Financing

Scratch Music Group, a New York City-based music and technology company, received an additional growth financing of undisclosed amount.

The round was led by New Enterprise Associates, with participation from existing investor Contour Venture Partners.

The company intends to use the funds to accelerate its growth, make acquisitions, pursue strategic partnerships and grow the team.

Founded in 2002 by Rob Principe, CEO, Scratch Music Group has built a large national team of  DJs (1,000 members), which are used for weddings, corporate events, tours, and music festivals. The company also runs the Scratch DJ Academy — a DJ and music production learning center co-developed with Jam Master Jay of Run DMC, with locations in NYC, Miami, LA and Chicago.

Customers included top brands such as MTV, Saks, Vans, Bloomingdale’s, ESPN, Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, Sandals & Beaches Resorts, Sephora, Nike, Pepsi, H&M, W Hotels, etc.
