Rad, a Paris, France-based online discovery platform that specializes in fashion, art and design products, raised €2.5m in Series A funding.
The round was led by Index Ventures, with participation from the New York-based Vaizra Seed Fund and Nicolas Santi-Weil, founding partner at The Kooples, who will be joining Rad’s board.
The company intends to use the capital to expand its current team, invest in logistics, production and marketing in preparation for its rollout to the U.K. and Germany.
Co-founded by David Smadja (CVO/CMO), Anthony Serero (CEO), Simon Amzalag (CFO) and Julia Serero (Chief buyer), Rad is a discovery platform for fashion, art and design products. Launched on July 12th, 2012, the site is part private sales, part art shop and part brand and offers products everyday from artists and designers all over the world.
