OMsignal Raises $1M in Seed Financing

OMsignal, a Montreal, Canada-based developer of a line of bio-sensing clothes that connect with mobile devices, raised $1m in seed financing.

Backers included Real Ventures, Golden Venture Partners, and David Cohen (CEO of TechStars).

Led by Stéphane Marceau, CEO, OMsignal has developed a line of bio-sensing clothing designed for everyday wear. They acquire and filter physiological signals from the body to deliver information and actionable insights to consumers, health and medical practitioners, and to researchers in a variety of human related fields of research.
The information and insights derived from OMsignal include ECG, activity and respiration rhythms as well as a measure of tension level or emotive states.
This summer, the company will open its bio-sensing apparel platform to external parties.
