NuMat Technologies, a Skokie, Ill.-based materials technology company, closed a $2m seed funding.
The round was led by the GOOSE Society of Texas, with participation from Owl Investment Group.
The company intends to use the capital to develop the technology.
Founded in 2012 by Ben Hernandez, CEO, NuMat Technologies is advancing nanoporous materials that can improve the storage efficiency of gas storage applications.
The company is a Northwestern University spin-out.
