Lastline, Inc., a Santa Barbara, CA-based provider of active malware defense solutions for businesses, raised $10m in funding.
The round was led by Redpoint Ventures and e.ventures. In conjunction with the funding, Redpoint Ventures Partner, John Welecka, will be joining Lastline’s board of directors.
The company intends to use the capital to increase its sales efforts and further develop new solutions.
Founded in 2011 and led by Jens Andreassen, CEO, Lastline provides organizations with Previct, a system that protects their networks from advanced persistent threats (APTs), targeted attacks and zero-day threats in real time. It analyzes incoming traffic and mines outbound traffic to detect malware-related events and correlates them into incidents.
