Combat Gent Raises $1.84M in Seed Funding

Combat Gent, an LA-based online clothing shop for modern urban men, raised $1.84m in seed funding.

The round was led by the VegasTechFund, MHS Capital, Greycroft Partners, Naxuri Capital, Blazer Ventures, Jake Bornstein of Flint and Tinder, and Point Nine Capital, a Berlin-based angel vc firm (which marks Combat Gent’s first step toward expanding services to the European market).

The company intends to use the funding for brand development, expansion of the product line (Italian shirts) and recruitment of new people. building out the Combat Gent team.

Co-founded by Vishaal (CEO) and Mo Melwani, Combat Gent operates a shop that aims to equip modern men working in an urban environment with shirts, suits and ties, combining an acceptable style with practicality.

In addition to the funding, the company said that the two co-founders have been named venture partners at FT Accelerator, a Silicon Valley-based dedicated to start-ups that combine fashion and technology.
FT Accelerator’s Enrico Beltramini will work with the company as an advisor and as chairman of the board.
